Todd W. Polmanteer, age 57, of Hickory Corners passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday morning, July 21, 2021. He was born in Kalamazoo on July 16, 1964 and graduated from Comstock High School with the Class of 1983. Todd owned & operated Polmanteer Construction for many years and recently retired from the Skywood Recovery Center in March 2021.
Todd married Tamara Sue "Tami" Anderson in Kalamazoo on July 19, 1986; she survives. He is also survived by his son, Jason (Taylor) Polmanteer of St. Louis, Michigan; his beloved dog, "Murphy"; his mother, Helen Polmanteer of Augusta; and his brother, Will (Chelsea) Polmanteer of Augusta.
Todd was a very simple man who loved his family dearly and enjoyed living on Gull Lake. Todd coached his son Jason in Rocket Football at Gull Lake and truly enjoyed watching Jason play at Gull Lake, Western Michigan University and was very proud that Jason is now coaching football at Alma College. He was an avid University of Michigan fan and his favorite trip of all-time was his adventure to South Africa.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 23rd at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel 9170 East D. Ave. (M-89) where services to celebrate Todd's life be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 24th. Interment will follow at Yorkville Cemetery, Ross Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Habitat for Humanity and/or the Gull Lake Community Schools Sports Boosters.
