Todd Lee Smith

Todd Lee Smith, age 49, of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, August 9, 2013 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Todd was born in Battle Creek on October 22, 1963, the son of Thomas Leon Smith and Juanita (Hicks) Smith Keown.

Todd married Shirley Scroggins in Battle Creek on October 22, 1994. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Scroggins Smith; his sons, Todd (Krystal) Smith, Jr., Denis (Michelle) Smith, and Kelly Wilemon; daughters, Crystal "Bucklin" Smith, and Samantha Wilemon; 16 grandchildren; his sisters, Linda Barnes, Jeannie Welton, Ida Hinshaw, Sherry Feltcher, and Martha Zambuly; his brother, Thomas Smith, and many nieces & nephews.

Todd's hobbies included Galesburg Speedway and Kalamazoo Supershoe Nationals. He was employed by Duckworth Brothers, Miller Davis, Local 355, CLS, and Schweitzer. Todd was a Jack of all Trades. He had many friends including his dog Chico. Todd's former marriage to Tina Root ended in divorce.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Todd's life will be held 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2013 at Todd's family home. For further information, please contact a member of the family.
