Tyler Levi Johnson

Tyler Levi Johnson, 28, passed away with his family by his side, Thursday, November 21, 2024. 

Tyler was born February 8, 1996 in Kalamazoo to Mark and Lori (Newhouse) Johnson. He was a 2014 graduate of Gull Lake High School and attended the University of Northwestern Ohio. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks and was a Diesel Truck mechanic at Prairie farms before moving his career to Consumers Concrete. He loved working with his hands and building things. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with his dog, Chief. 

On August 23, 2019, in Nevada, he was united in marriage to Heidi Ann Terry, and in 2021 they were blessed with a son, Sterling, whom Tyler was wholly devoted to and loved dearly. Tyler is survived by his wife, Heidi Johnson, and their son Sterling Johnson; his parents, Mark and Lori (Newhouse) Johnson; brother, Austin Johnson, and many friends. Tyler will be remembered for his infectious laughter, never-ending ability to crack a joke (or two), and for always being the life of the party. He could talk your ear off and never failed to make new friends wherever he went. He loved hard and was very much the kind of guy that’d give the shirt off his back if you needed it.  

To commemorate his life and the memories they cherish, Tyler’s family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. when a service will be held to celebrate his life.
