Versa Grace (Sturdivant) Harrison

Versa Grace (Sturdivant) Harrison, 85, of Battle Creek, Michigan, died in Pineview Memory Care, on hospice with Centrica Care Navigators.

Versa was born April 4, 1941, in Hindman, Kentucky, one of ten children, to Roger and Lola (Williams) Sturdivant. She lived in Hindman until eighth grade, when she moved to Battle Creek, graduating from Springfield High School in 1959. She and her first husband started their own successful business, Associated Construction.

Versa Grace Sturdivant was united in marriage to Terry Russell Harrison in Toledo, Ohio on August 8, 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry on October 19, 2014. Surviving are sibling Bill Sturdivant and several nieces and nephews, including some of her favorites, the Drake Boys.

Versa was a long-time member of the Bedford Lions Club. She loved volunteering at the Club, gardening, and shopping. She was a hard worker and willing to take on anything. She will be remembered as a loving sister, friend, and aunt.

Versa’s cremated remains will be placed next to her mom, Lola Sturdivant, in Hindman, Kentucky.
