Victoria "Vickie" Cooper

Victoria "Vickie" Cooper, 68, of Battle Creek, died January 2, 2022 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. Vickie was born October 30, 1953 in Battle Creek to Darwin and Eleanor (Bowers) Cable. Vickie was a big Star Trek fan, and enjoyed watching baseball. She loved interacting with the neighbors at home, and was known for her laugh. If you walked into a room, you could search out Vickie just by listening for her laugh.

Vickie was an extremely hard worker and dedicated employee, working at K-Mart for many years and most recently as a housekeeper at Firekeepers Casino.

Vickie is survived by her son, Richard (Christy) Cooper; two grandchildren, Bret Hook and Aly Cooper; a sister, Tina Halsey-Ferree; her mother, Eleanor (Bill) Rop; nephew, Brock Ferree; and niece, Brittany Halsey.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral services to celebrate Vickie's life will be 2:00 p.m..
