William David Feasel, beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025 at the age of 82.
Born to Lloyd and Garlene (Behnke) Feasel on August 25, 1943, Bill learned the value of hard work early. His very first job was alongside his dad at Ideal Heating, followed by the family owned business of Bill’s Bait Shop in the 1960s. Bill graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1962. In 1968, he began what would become a remarkable 52-year career with Semco Energy, where he proudly served as a Crew Leader, earning the respect and friendship of countless coworkers.
Bill married Elaine Gauthier, in 1974. Together they built a beautiful family, raising Stacy (Jason) Deskins and Jason (Melissa) Feasel and later welcomed the arrival of three cherished grandchildren Cohen, Clarisa, and Jaxson, who became the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Garlene Feasel, Stepmom Mary (Greenman) Feasel, Brother in-law Tony Sutherland, and his beloved sister, Nancy Sutherland.
A man of boundless energy and enthusiasm, Bill found joy in fishing, skiing, golfing, snowmobiling, boating, and riding motorcycles on dirt and ice. He played softball and ice hockey in his younger years and remained a sports fan through every season. He especially loved time on his Ranger with his son and friends, anything that involved speed, and he bowled a mean game in his prime.
Known for his generous spirit, Bill always had a tool to lend and a hand to offer. He was famous for knowing the best local spots to eat and for his gift of gab—he never met a stranger. He adored his faithful puppies, Hootie and Scootie, and made many memories with his partner, Kathleen Tiller.
Bill will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his children Stacy (Jason) Deskins, Jason (Melissa) Feasel, and Robbie Feasel; grandchildren Cohen, Clarisa, and Jaxson; nephews Jeff (Michelle) Sutherland, Tim (Elaine) Sutherland, Rodney (Marnie) Sutherland; along with many extended family members and friends.
