William Joseph Lotts III, (known to his friends as Bill) went to be with the Lord January 15, 2016. Bill was born on December 31, 1956 in Battle Creek, MI; the only son of the late William J. and Phyllis R. (Bruce) Lotts II. As lifelong resident of Battle Creek, Bill attended Harper Creek High School graduating in 1975. Thereafter, he became a devoted employee of Union Pump where he worked for 33 years, until their closing in 2013. Beginning his career as a machinist, Bills hard work and dedication earned him a foreman position. He was well liked and respected by his colleagues, most importantly he was regarded as the "Best boss!" by his crew.

Bill was known for his kind and generous spirit, if there was ever anyway he could help he would be the first person there to offer an extra hand. His desire to serve others lead him to become a deacon at Healing Wings Ministries in Galesburg, MI. Bill relished being a father to the apple of this eye, "his angel," Tiffany, and he truly was "everything a Dad could be and more" to her. Being the only boy, Bill proudly took on the role of protector to his sisters Linda, Terri and Karen. Bill loved spending time with his friends and family (often times regarded as a second father figure to his nephews). Whenever life allowed, you could find Bill pursuing one of his other passions, which included: hunting in his custom deer blind, fishing on his boat, or taking his adored dog Mya for rides in his truck.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Tiffany L. Lotts (Fiancée, Tanner Johansen) of Kalamazoo; his mother, Phyllis R. (Bruce) Lotts of Battle Creek, MI; and his three sisters, Linda G. (Douglas) Jaques of Battle Creek, MI; Terri A. Sharpe of Show Low, AZ; Karen J. (Pastor Steven) Cody of Battle Creek, MI. He is preceded by his father.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, 5:00 - 7:00 pm at: Farley, Estes, & Dowdle Funeral Home - Augusta Chapel (307 N. Webster St Augusta, MI). Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 1:00 pm at the same location, with interment to follow at the cemetery in Augusta, MI.
