William “Billy” Michael Geryl Wright, 39, of Battle Creek, passed away unexpectedly in bed with his love on February 21, 2025.
He was born on April 4th, 1985, in Battle Creek Michigan, the son of Vicky Sue (Roberts) Wright and Michael Eugene Wright. He lived in Michigan for most of his life, and he lived in Florida for a couple years when he was younger.
He is survived by his girlfriend Amanda Gibson; his brothers, Jesse Wright, Justin Gwillim, Brian Gwillim, Gregory Gwillim; sister Jeri Diaz; his brother by bond Ryan Emery; his aunt Pat Shellenberger; two step kids, Libby and Carter; grandson Zander; many cousins, nieces, nephews and a great niece.
William had a rough start at adulthood, but he changed his life for the better and was becoming an amazing family man, which was all new to him, but he was doing it and learning more and more day by day. He loved to go do things with his step kids and grandson. They would go sledding, bowling, go to the park, they would go Pokémon hunting and play wrestle. William loved listening to music no matter where he was or what he was doing. He liked cooking, fishing, having bonfires and smoking his marijuana. He got his GED in 2004. He became a certified welder in 2024. He was looking forward to traveling the world and seeing new places. He was looking forward to going and seeing his brother, Jesse and meeting his niece. William liked going and sitting in the car with Carter every morning before school and listening to his brother, Little E's music. William was a jokester and liked messing with Libby and getting her going. He joked with people every chance he got. He was a lover, but a fighter when needed to be. He was a loving, caring man and never sugar coated anything. He will never be forgotten or unloved.
William was preceded in death by his parents Vicky (Jerry Gipson) Wright and Michael Eugene Wright; his grandparents Charles (Lois) Roberts; Aunt Geryl Warner; three Uncles Richard Anthony Roberts, William Berry Roberts and Keith Shellenberger.
William was known for his sturdy attitude, but also his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about. He had a passion for life and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
William will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
May he rest in peace.
